Mint

Terms of Use

Effective 10 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Mint iPhone app and its service. By using Mint you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Mint.

Who we are

Mint is provided by EXCT INC (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@hellomint.app. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Who can use Mint

Mint is only for people aged 18 or over. You confirm your age when you create an account. You may use Mint for yourself or for a business you work on, in line with these terms and the laws that apply to you.

Your account

Mint has no sign-up. “Get started” creates an account whose key is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain and, if you use iCloud Keychain, on your other devices. Anyone who can use your devices can use your account, so keep them secure. If the key is lost, for example on a new iPhone without iCloud Keychain, we may be unable to restore the account, its history or what it has left of its purchases.

What Mint’s results are

Mint turns a business idea into figures such as profit a month, what it takes to start and how fast it pays back, together with competitors, a plan and other notes. These results are produced by AI models from what you send, public data such as maps of businesses nearby, and assumptions. They are estimates that can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and the same idea can give different figures at different times.

Mint’s results are not financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, and they don’t promise any income. Check the figures, prices, rules and licences that matter to your idea yourself, and ask a qualified professional before you spend money or sign anything. Decisions you make with Mint’s help are yours.

What you send

You keep the rights you have to the photos, links, text, files and notes you send to Mint. You give us permission to store, process and transmit them, including to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy, only to run Mint for you, as the Privacy Policy describes: to analyse your scans and keep your history.

Send only what you have the right to send. Don’t send other people’s personal data unless the scan needs it and you are allowed to share it.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Mint to:

  • break the law or help someone else break it, or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • send malware, or content that is unlawful or abusive;
  • get around Mint’s limits, for example by creating accounts or Apple Accounts to collect free scans, free months or invitation rewards;
  • copy, scrape, resell or automate the service, or overload, probe or attack it;
  • reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it despite this term.

Free plan and Mint Pro

The free plan includes a small number of full scans, as shown in the app. Mint Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly, that includes the number of full scans a month shown in the app and the features the app lists for Pro.

Mint Pro is bought through Apple and charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays until the end of the period you paid for.

Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change; Apple tells you about a price change before it applies to your subscription.

If you enter a friend’s invite code before your first subscription, your first month of Mint Pro can be free through Apple’s introductory offer. Apple decides who is eligible: each Apple Account can get it only once. When the free month ends, the subscription becomes paid unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.

Invitations

Each account has an invite code. When a friend enters your code before their first subscription and later pays for that subscription for the first time, you earn one free month of Mint Pro. Only a subscription started after the code was entered counts, and each subscription earns one month once.

We give an earned month by asking Apple to move your next renewal date a month later, so the free month needs a paid Mint Pro subscription. Apple moves a renewal by up to 90 days at a time and at most twice a year for a subscription; months beyond that wait for a later move, and months earned while you have no subscription wait until you subscribe. If the friend’s payment is refunded before your month is given, the month is withdrawn.

Free months have no cash value and can’t be transferred or exchanged. We may refuse or withdraw rewards earned through fake accounts, inviting yourself or other abuse, and we may change or end invitations for codes entered after the change.

Scan packs

A Mint Pro subscriber who has used the month’s full scans can buy a pack of extra full scans through Apple. Extra scans are used after the scans of your plan, don’t expire and have no cash value. They belong to the account that bought them and are lost when you delete your data. If Apple refunds a pack, the scans left from it are removed.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, so Apple handles refunds under its own policies; we can’t refund App Store purchases ourselves. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. A scan that fails doesn’t use up your scans.

Deleting your data

You can stop using Mint at any time. Profile → Delete my data deletes your account and its scans. Deleting your data doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription: cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Extra scans and free months the account had are lost with it.

Ownership

The app, its design, texts and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Mint under these terms. You may use the results Mint gives you for your own ideas and business, and share them, for example with the share card.

Third-party services

Mint relies on services run by others, such as Apple for purchases and the providers named in the Privacy Policy for AI and map data. Pages that open outside Mint, such as a link you send or a place on a map, are governed by their owners’ terms, not ours.

Changes to Mint

We keep improving Mint, so features, limits and the data behind the results can change. We try to keep Mint available but don’t promise it will always be, or that it will be free of errors.

Suspension and ending

We may suspend or end your access to Mint if you break these terms, if it is needed to protect Mint, its users or others, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we’ll tell you why. You may stop using Mint and delete your data at any time.

Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Mint is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that its results are accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, savings, data or business, including losses from decisions made with Mint’s results. Our total liability to you for anything to do with Mint is limited to the amount you paid for Mint in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, or rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

Apple

If you got Mint from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies too; these terms add to it. These terms are between you and EXCT INC, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Mint or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Mint.

If Mint fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Mint. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims about Mint, including product liability claims, claims that Mint fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, and claims that Mint infringes someone’s intellectual property.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post changes on this page and update the effective date, currently 10 October 2026, and tell you in the app about changes that matter. If you keep using Mint after a change, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree with them, stop using Mint and delete your data.
